         Bread Upma

Bread upma is usually prepared if you a have day old bread lying in your kitchen. Bread upma is really yummy. Through this you can feed your family with lot of veggies. I add tomato sauce to this upma and it gives a nice flavour altogether.

Preparation time: 15 mins

Servings: 4 people

Ingredients:

Bread Slices - 7/8 ( I use wheat bread)

Veggies (Carrot, peas, Aloo, Corn, Capsicum ) - 1 Big bowl

Onion - 1 big sized chopped finely

Tomato - 1 small chopped finely

Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp

chillies - 2 cut length wise

Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Oil - 1 tbsp

Coriander leaves - a handful

1. Chop bread into small cubes. Dry roast them in a pan. This will make it crispy.  Keep it aside.

2. Heat oil in the same pan, add cumin seeds, chillies and onion. Fry till onion turns translucent. Then add all your veggies and fry till they become tender. Finally add tomatoes and cook them it becomes soft.

3. Add salt and ketchup. Mix nicely.

I prepared this as an evening snack for my daughter. When I returned, the kadai was empty and sitting cold in the kitchen sink. Abhi loved this dish and had eaten all of it by herself, not sparing even a spoonful for us. Thanks for this wonderful dish.
