         Methi Paratha

Methi paratha an awesome cuisine for dinner/breakfast and best enjoyed with a cup of curds or pickle.

Methi a wonder herb, a very popular vegetable in India. Rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus and iron in their natural forms, its mineral and vitamin contents are also very high and this is easily assimilated by our body. Both the leaves and seeds of this bitter tasting vegetable are fit for consumption.

Ingredients:

1. Finely Chopped Methi Leaves - 1 big cup

2. Coriander leaves chopped - A handful

3. Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

4. Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp

5. Salt to taste

6. Garam Masala - 2-3 tsp

7. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp

8. Wheat Flour- 2 big cups

9. Bengal Gram flour- 1 tbsp

10. Curds - 2 tsp

11. Jaggery- 1/2 tsp

12. Oil - 1/2 cup

Procedure:

1. In a large mixing bowl mix Finely Chopped Methi Leaves, Chilli powder, Garam masala, Jeera, Corinader leaves, Salt, Wheat Flour,  Bengal Gram flour, Curds, Jaggery and lemon juice.

2. Add water to the mixture and prepare dough just like the regular Chapati dough. Keep aside for about 30 minutes.

3. Knead the dough well.

4. Make sized dough balls, roll out just like chapati.

5. Cook it on a hot griddle or Tawa and bake the Methi Paratha on both the sides by applying enough Ghee/Oil till the Paratha turns crisp.

Serve Awesome Methi paratha  with curds or sauce or pickle.
