         Green Peas and Paneer Pulav

Paneer Pulav is easy to prepare and tastes great too. Paneer Pulav is mildly spiced and is a mix of Peas, Paneer with rice. It is best for lunch box recipe. Peas and Paneer Pulav taste great with simple curds or raita.

paneer pulav

Ingredients:

Rice: 1 and 1/2 Cups

Pudina/Mint Leaves: 1 cup

Grated coconut: 2 tbsp

Elachi: 4

Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tsp

Green Chillies: 2

Ghee: 2 tbsp

Pepper: 6

Cinnamon: 1/2 inch

Cloves: 2

Jeera Seeds: 1 tsp

Cashew nuts: 1 tbsp

Chopped Onion: 1 cup

Peas: 1/2 Cup

Chopped Paneer: 1/2 Cup

Procedure:

1.Wash Rice with water. Pour out the water completely - rice should stay as dry as possible for 30 mins.

2. Grind Pudina, Grated coconut, Green chillies, 2 Elachi and Ginger Garlic paste to a fine paste.

3. Heat Ghee in cooker container/pan. Add Pepper, Jeera Seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon, 2 Elachi, Cashew nuts and Onion. Fry till onion turns transparent.

4. Next add peas and paneer. Add the paste from step 2 and fry till the water contents disappear.

5. Add Rice from step 1 and fry until the Rice turns a bit thick. Now add 3 cups of water to the cooker and stir for a min. Add Salt and close the pressure cooker lid and allow the contents to cook.

6. When you hear the 2 - 3 cooker whistles, switch to low flame and continue to heat for about 2 minutes. Then switch off the flame and allow the pressure of the cooker to ease.

Serve Green Peas and Paneer Pulav with raita.
