         Bonda/Bajji

Bonda/bajji is a very tasty crispy snack prepared in minutes in Karnataka.  You can use any vegetable of your choice like capsicum, potato, cucumber, Raw banana, Ridge Ground, Onion..... Usually prepared in all festivals/special occasion. When its Bonda you need not wait for any occasion or festive, just start preparing and enjoy. Here I have used Onion today to make yummy Bonda's!!!!

bonda

Ingredients:

1. Onion - 3 (Big)

2. Besan Flour - 2 cups

3. Rice flour - 3 tsp

4. Chilli Powder - 3 tsp

5. Salt to taste

6. Baking Soda - A pinch

7. Salt - A pinch

8. Oil For deep frying

Procedure:

1. Peel the outer skin of onion and cut them as slices (round).

2. Mix Besan, Rice Flour, salt, Chilly Powder, Baking Soda and a pinch of sugar with water and make a thick batter.

3. Heat oil in a Kadi.

4. Dip each slice of Onion in the batter and deep fry on medium flame, till it turns golden brown in color.

Serve hot with any chutney or Tomato sauce.
